Armed & Unarmed Security Services

Every property and situation presents different security needs. While some locations benefit from a visible, customer-focused security presence, others require a higher level of protection due to increased risk. At Canopy Security Services, we offer both armed and unarmed security solutions and will help you determine which option best fits your environment, operations, and budget.

Our recommendations are based on a professional assessment of your security needs—not on selling services you don't require. Whether you choose armed or unarmed security, every officer is expected to uphold the same standards of professionalism, integrity, communication, and customer service.

Unarmed Security

Unarmed security officers are an excellent choice for properties where the primary goal is deterrence, observation, access control, customer assistance, and routine patrols. Their visible presence alone is often enough to discourage unwanted activity while providing reassurance to employees, residents, customers, and visitors.

Unarmed security is commonly recommended for:

  • Office buildings

  • Retail businesses

Armed Security

Armed security officers are best suited for environments where there is an elevated risk to people, valuable assets, or critical operations. In addition to performing the same core responsibilities as unarmed officers, armed personnel provide an additional level of preparedness for higher-risk situations.

Armed security may be appropriate for:

  • Financial institutions

  • High-value retail locations

  • Critical infrastructure

  • Government facilities

  • Executive protection assignments

  • Construction sites

  • Facilities handling valuable inventory or sensitive assets

  • Locations with a documented history of violent crime or elevated security concerns

Professional Standards

At Canopy Security Services, professionalism comes first. Every officer—armed or unarmed—is selected for their character, judgment, and commitment to serving our clients with integrity.

Officers assigned to armed positions meet all applicable licensing requirements and maintain the certifications required by state and federal law. Each armed officer is also certified through the Oklahoma Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training (CLEET), ensuring they have completed the training and qualifications necessary to carry a firearm while performing security duties.

If your needs change over time, we're happy to reassess your security plan and recommend the level of protection that best supports your property, employees, and visitors.
